With the controller, I have been able to play very nice little tunes while in a game. However, the general midi sound has been distracting in its creation of a bad sounding piano- so I have been doing some playing around. I downloaded a digital software version of midi thru (MIDI Yoke) and am able to route the midi notes of max/msp out midi yoke and into my composing software, Nuendo, taking the midi yoke as an input to midi recording. By routing it to Nuendo I am able not only to record and export, but am able to apply as many different synth and orchestral sounds as I wish, allowing for a level of complexity, richness, and full sounding composition, all from a basic combination of only 6 buttons (out of the 20 something I have to work with). So far it is very fun to both play games and make music, but still needs a lot of refining.
